Start with a ring that fits

Use a ring worn on the same finger and hand. Measure its inside diameter with a millimetre ruler; avoid measuring the outside edge.

Measure at a comfortable time

Check when your hands are at their usual temperature. Very cold or swollen fingers can give an unreliable fit.

Consider the silhouette

Wider bands can feel snugger. For a meaningful purchase or an uncertain measurement, a jeweller can confirm your size.
